Important Notices!

  • May 30, 2013: I'm getting duplicate files in Dropbox

    Move your PasswordWallet Wallet File to your HOME/Documents folder. And then update the following preferences within PW:

    1. Preferences → General → Default File
    2. Preferences → Network Sync → Gear Menu

    The folder in Dropbox you've been using is for shared sync logic only.

  • May 26, 2013: It says my file is read-only!

    Permissions are strict on Mac OS X 10.8. Move your .passwordWallet4 document to HOME/Documents. Be sure to update Preferences in General→Default File and Network Sync→Gear Menus.

  • Oct. 17, 2011: I updated to iOS 5 and it forgot my files!

    On the iPhone check inside "PW" → "Manage Files" to make sure you're opening the file you think you are.

  • Jul. 15, 2011: My iPhone Data is Gone!

    Don't panic! iTunes/AppStore updaters sometimes gets confused. Do this:

    1. Run the PasswordWallet Backup Extractor as soon as possible.
    2. Use "Backup and Restore" in PasswordWallet on the iPhone to pull your data back in.
    3. Select the file you've restored in "Manage Files" in PasswordWallet on the iPhone.

    Updating in some versions of iOS from inside the AppStore can have this problem. Always back up your data by pushing "Backup & Restore" right on the main screen of PW on your device.
