1. I've installed the conduit and synchronized, and my data is not moving from my mac to my Palm. Why?

Check the PasswordWallet™ for Macintosh manual for instructions on how to set up your Macintosh conduit for synchronization. If you've installed the conduit, any errors found during synchronization will reveal themselves in the HotSync Log available from within the Palm Desktop Software.

2. My Mac and Palm have different numbers of records after synchronization. How do I fix this?

This usually happens if PasswordWallet on the Palm is synchronized with more than one computer. Please follow the directions within the PasswordWallet for Mac ReadMe file on how to "Reset for a clean synchronization".

3. My records are duplicating when I sync! Why?

PasswordWallet can store the date you accessed any record. This date is stored with the record itself and can be set by the Mac and the Palm versions. If you access a record on both the Mac and Palm between syncs, the sync engine cannot tell which record is newest, so duplicates them.

You can avoid this by turning off "Record data and time when accessing a record." in the preferences of the Mac OS X version of PasswordWallet.

4. HotSync doesn't behave right in Palm's HotSync software for Mac OS X.

It's really sad. Palm used to be a first class citizen on Mac OS X. Palm's software for Mac OS X is a little old. Palm has fixed a few bugs on Mac OS X, though. The latest version is the "D" release. All users should update to at least the "D" release of Palm Desktop. It's not perfect, though.

There is third party software that works really well with Palm devices. Missing Sync for Palm OS from Mark/Space software is superb, and runs the PasswordWallet Palm conduit without issue.
